Making a Difference at the Kaulig Companies Championship
This week, the Kaulig Companies Championship is teeing off in race team owner Matt Kaulig’s backyard of Akron, Ohio, for the third-straight year. Held at Firestone Country Club, this event marks a major championship for PGA Tour Champions, formerly known as the Senior PGA Tour. The winner of the Kaulig Companies Championship gains entry into the 2026 Players Championship.
All five of Kaulig Racing’s drivers have made appearances at events in the Akron area to both help promote the event and make a difference in the community.
On Monday, Matt Kaulig was joined by Josh Williams at the Akron Children’s Hospital to help open up the hospital’s new Autism Center. Williams also continued his hospital tour following the event.
AJ Allmendinger, Ty Dillon, Christian Eckes, Daniel Dye, and Williams joined students from Lebron James’ “I Promise” school to play Top Golf on Wednesday.
Additionally on Wednesday, Matt Kaulig was joined by team executives Chris Rice and Ty Norris, and drivers Ty Dillon and Daniel Dye who all competed in the Official Championship Pro-Am.

- Through 15 races, Williams has racked up 39 points more in 2025 than he did at the same point in 2024. He sits in 18th in the NXS points standings with two top 10s.
“Pocono is definitely one of those places where I feel like I need to get the monkey off my back… Something always seems to happen against us when we’re there. Because of how long the straights are, you need to carry a lot of speed out of the corners. If you don’t have the motor or exit, you’ll lose time pretty fast. I think we’ll get something dialed up this weekend for it.”
